OB Inpatient Warning Signs

Notify your nurse if you have any of the symptoms below:

VISION CHANGES/HEADACHE NOT RELIEVED BY MEDICATION

CHEST PAIN

HAVE TO SIT UPRIGHT TO BREATHE COMFORTABLY

SUDDEN DIFFICULTY OR PAINFUL BREATHING

UPPER RIGHT STOMACH PAIN

SEIZURES

FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS

WORST HEADACHE OF YOUR LIFE

NAUSEA OR VOMITING

WEAKNESS OR NUMBNESS ON ONE SIDE OF YOUR BODY

SOAKING A PAD IN LESS THAN AN HOUR

THOUGHTS OF HURTING YOURSELF OR YOUR BABY

SOMETHING JUST DOESN’T FEEL RIGHT

Tell your nurse or doctor when something doesn’t seem right.

Listen to your instincts when something doesn’t feel right.

Watch for any unexpected

changes while you are in the hospital.
