Remember… NEVER shake a baby!
SCAN + PLAY
No matter how stressed you are, NEVER shake, hit, or throw your baby. Because a baby’s neck muscles are weak, blindness, brain damage, or death can happen even with a little shake. Ask a friend, neighbor, or family member to watch your baby so you can take a break. If you are alone, put your baby in their crib, walk away, and don’t pick them up again until you are calm. Signs of Head Trauma from being shaken • Extreme fussiness • Sudden or unusual sleepiness • Seizures • Difficulty breathing
